Pressure has been mounting on Gers chief Alex McLeish following a string of disappointing results, so a win in the Granite City was imperative.

The Dons started the game brightly, with Stefan Klos the busier of the two keepers, but they fell behind just before the interval when Ricksen curled home a fine free kick from the edge of the box.
Rangers had to wait until the dying moments to clinch victory, with Thompson on hand to mark his first start of the season with the clinching goal.

Garry O'Connor sealed the win with a third on 71 minutes.

Caley Thistle are lodging with Aberdeen in the league, so the cup clash with The Well was expected to provide the Highland club with a real boost.
They dominated the opening half but failed to find the target and they were made to pay after the break when Richie Foran fired Terry Butcher's side ahead.
Phil O'Donnell made it two before Ross Tokely restored hope for Caley Thistle when netting on 58 minutes.
The Well rode a storm of pressure and sealed the victory when Kevin McBride netted with five minutes remaining.
