Gregory Vignal has been granted permission to leave Liverpool in the summer.Gregory Vignal has revealed that he has been granted permission to leave Liverpool by boss Rafa Benitez.
The French stopper is currently on loan at Rangers, and scored the opening goal against Celtic in the Old Firm derby on Sunday.
Vignal has impressed with the Scottish giants, and previously attracted interest from French side Marseille during the January transfer window.
After failing to establish himself at Anfield since his move from Montpellier in 2000, the 23-year-old will now depart, with his destination not set in stone as of yet.
At the end of January the player turned down an offer from Alex McLeish's side, although has now expressed his satisfaction with life at Ibrox.
"I have been to Liverpool to see Benitez and he will let me go free in June so I am a free player at the end of the season," Vignal told the Rangers official website.
"We will see what happens but I am happy here at Rangers and they are my priority.
"I like this club, it's a very big club and we have a very good team. Next season I want to play in the Champions League.
"My agent Phillipe Flavier will come soon to see about my situation."
