Alex McLeish was staying coy on rumours linking the club with Kim Kallstrom.Rangers boss Alex McLeish was remaining coy on speculation linking the club with Swedish international Kim Kallstrom.
Reports emanating from France claimed Rangers were lining up a summer swoop for the Rennes star.
Kallstrom admitted he was flattered by the reported interest from Rangers.
McLeish was refusing to give anything away and insists he only likes to talk about possible transfers when they are done and dusted.
"We know every player that has been speculated about in the papers but I don't like to comment on any business unless there is something concrete to tell you," said McLeish.
"There are a lot of players I like and I won't be revealing anything until we are 100 percent on it."
Meanwhile, McLeish has revealed injured defender Marvin Andrews is continuing to defy medical opinion by refusing to undergo surgery.
The giant defender has been diagnosed as having a cruciate ligament injury after picking up the knock against Dundee.
However, Andrews is refusing to go under the knife and insists he is fit to play.
Andrews came through a reserve team run-out in midweek, but he will not be considered for Sunday' trip to Motherwell.
McLeish hopes Andrews will have a change of heart and decide to have an operation so that he can regain his fitness again.
"Rangers are bigger than one player," insisted McLeish. "Marvin played 45 minutes during the week and trained the next day.
"He was subsequently a little bit stiff and won't play at the weekend.
"He still, at this moment, doesn't want to have surgery. He will obviously think about it.
"It is his prerogative to change his mind and it is also down to me to decide if and when he is looking fit again on the training ground whether he starts the game.
"He has a chance to reflect on it. He is not playing at the weekend and whether that alters his thinking I don't know. I'm sure we have not heard the last of it though."
