Hibs have confirmed they have no intention of selling Scott Brown and Kevin Thompson.Hibernian have warned off Rangers from making an approach for Scott Brown and Kevin Thompson.
Rangers boss Alex McLeish, a former Hibernian manager, is a known admirer of both players and is reported to have told his board to pursue deals for the duo.
It is believed that the Glasgow giants could offer £1.5 million for the pair or alternatively, try to lure Brown in January and then Thompson in the summer.
However, Hibs spokesman David Forsyth has now slammed the rumours coming out of Ibrox - adamant that the talented duo will remain in Edinburgh.
''We are fed up with this,'' he told the Daily Record. ''How many times do we have to say we are not interested in selling players?
''We have reduced our debts drastically and have no need to sell and no desire to sell.
''Brown and Thompson have two-and-a-half or three years left on their contracts and Scott went on record recently to say he is happy to stay.
''What more can we do other than say we have no intention of selling these players.''
