Rangers have handed a trial to Ole Budtz and are being linked with a move for Marco Di Vaio.
New Gers chief Paul Le Guen is looking to bolster his front-line, having seen Peter Lovenkrands depart.
He missed out on Swedish striker Johan Elmander when he signed for Toulouse last week, but the French tactician has other irons in the fire.
Danish striker Budtz is a recognisable figure, as he stands at 6ft 5in. He was on Belgian club Cercle Brugge's books last term and is set to train for a couple of days at Murray Park - with the first team currently on tour in South Africa.
Di Vaio is also thought to be on Le Guen's wish list and he could be available for a cut-price deal.
The Italian marksman has been told he has no future at Valencia and the Spaniards are likely to listen to reasonable offers for the striker.
