One in, one out at Ibrox

Rangers have sold Karl Svensson and brought in Graeme Smith.

Rangers have reshaped their squad by offloading Karl Svensson and signing Graeme Smith.

The Scottish giants have drafted in goalkeeper Smith on a free transfer after he turned down a new deal at Kilmarnock.

Smith will provide cover for Allan McGregor at Ibrox after the departure of Stefan Klos earlier this summer.

Svensson has ended his disappointing spell at Rangers by joining French outfit Caen.

The Swedish international was brought to Rangers by Paul Le Guen, but after the Frenchman's departure he rarely featured under Walter Smith.

The 23-year-old is believed to have agreed a three-year deal at Caen after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
