Rangers striker Kenny Miller believes his part in the club's success this season will help him finally win back the fans' support.
Miller, serving his second stint at Ibrox, returned to Glasgow from Derby County last summer having previously spent a season at Old Firm rivals Celtic, with many Rangers fans still unforgiving for his Parkhead move.
Having clinched the SPL title on the final day of the season, Rangers added the Scottish Cup to the trophy cabinet on Saturday after a 1-0 win over Falkirk.
Miller was well aware that his return would take time and hard work to feel accepted again, and with 13 goals contributed to a double-winning season the Scottish international believes he has now done just that.
Speaking of the fans chanting his name amid full-time pitch celebrations he said: "It means a lot. To come back to the club after where I played before was always going to be hard for me.
"But I think success was always going to bring different views. This season has been a big success for us, getting the league back and the Scottish Cup.
"We would much rather have won the treble but we've got the double and the league and Scottish Cup is definitely the ones you want to win.
"First and foremost, it was more important to win the league back and secure Champions League football.
Success
After a three-year absence, the SPL title has returned to Ibrox after being held by Celtic for three consecutive seasons, and Miller believes the club must build on this season's success if they are to overhaul the Celtic's recent domination.
"We have to," he said. "The manager and coaches will have ideas about what they want to do with the team next year.
"But we will enjoy our holidays and come back and be ready to go again. At a club like this, you have to be doing this every season.
Nacho Novo's early second half strike was enough to secure the Scottish Cup for Rangers in a tough game which saw few chances for either side and Miller admitted that it needed something special to break the deadlock.
"It was quite a frustrating game for us," he said. "Falkirk kept the ball for long periods of time and I think at the end of the day we were a bit fortunate to get the goal.
"It was a wonder goal from Nacho with his first touch and it was going too take something like that for us to win the game. Fortunately enough it went that way.
"It was roasting out there and it's hard work, especially when you are chasing the ball.
"It's a lot better when you've got the ball. You could see at the end that Falkirk looked to have a lot of energy.
"But we got there in the end, which is the main thing. These games are about the result, not the performance.
"Falkirk have come out and played in a way which really frustrated us. They kept the ball well and worked very hard to keep it."
