Gordon and Nelson also set to finalise moves to Rugby Park

Kilmarnock have completed a deal to sign Dean Shiels and are also waiting to finalise moves for Ben Gordon and Michael Nelson. Sky Sports revealed earlier on Wednesday that Shiels was poised to return to Kilmarnock from Doncaster Rovers following an impressive loan spell at Rugby Park. The midfielder, son of Killie boss Kenny, has now signed a contract until the end of the season after severing his ties with Championship strugglers Doncaster. Meanwhile, Chelsea full-back Gordon is set to return to Kilmarnock for a second loan spell and Scunthorpe defender Nelson is also on the brink of joining. "Dean has signed until the end of the season," said Killie boss Kenny Shiels. "He has taken a massive hit financially and he feels there is unfinished work here. "Ben Gordon, who played for us last season and did so well, has agreed too and he will come up for the rest of the season. "Michael hasn't signed yet but we are in the throes of doing that this afternoon."
