Midfielder to decide on future at end of the season

Sky Sports understands a host of clubs at home and abroad are weighing up moves for Kilmarnock's Dean Shiels. Shiels' deal at Rugby Park expires at the end of the season after signing a six-month deal in January following his departure from Doncaster. The 27-year-old has been in sparkling form for Kilmarnock, scoring 12 goals this term and helping Killie win the Scottish League Cup. Shiels has been rewarded for his fine form by being shortlisted for the SPFA Players' Player of the Year award. The attacking midfielder has also won his place back in the Northern Ireland squad this year and his performances have not gone unnoticed. A number of Kilmarnock's SPL rivals as well as a number of Championship sides are thought to be tracking the former Arsenal youngster. Several foreign sides are also believed to be ready to offer Shiels a new challenge in the summer with the player yet to make a decision on his long-term future. Shiels' agent, Clive Hart, admits a number of clubs have expressed an interest in landing the midfielder. "A number of clubs in England and in Scotland have expressed an interest in Dean," Hart told skysports.com. "I am not surprised there is a great deal of interest in Dean as he has enjoyed a superb season. "There has also been interest from clubs abroad and Dean will sit down and consider his options at the end of the season."
