Young declared his intention to extend his stay at The Dons earlier this week and McNaughton admitted he is happy to remain at the club.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the best young players in Scotland and his performances have attracted the interest of a host of clubs including Liverpool, Leeds, Middlesbrough and Internazionale.
McNaughton, who scooped the SPFA Young Player of the Year award last term, still has two years to run on his present deal at Pittodrie and he feels he owes them some loyalty for the faith they have shown in him.
"I still have another two years on my contract," said McNaughton. "There are a few of our boys out of contract at the end of this season, so maybe next year I'll be playing alongside the youth team!
"Football is changing with the money situation and everyone is in the same boat. I signed a four-year contract after only playing a few matches for the first team and it was a wee bit of security for me and for the club as well.
"The club has been great to me over the last couple of years and I feel I owe them a bit of loyalty."
