Dons have eye on Miller

Aberdeen could hand Charlie Miller an SPL lifeline in January.

Aberdeen could hand Charlie Miller an SPL lifeline in January.

Miller is currently enduring an indifferent spell with Norwegian side Brann, having quit Dundee United during the summer.

Brann have questioned whether Miller has the desire to work hard for the club and could be ready to cut their losses when the transfer window reopens in January.

The Dons are seemingly monitoring the creative midfielder's situation and could make a move in January.

"I know the manager (Jimmy Calderwood) likes Charlie but it depends on his needs," Dons assistant boss Jimmy Nicholl told the Daily Record.

"If he needs a creative midfielder then who knows? But he doesn't need an unfit one with a bad attitude so it all depends on Charlie.

"It's the same wherever he goes because we all know about his ability.

"The manager is always looking for quality but you wouldn't bring anyone in to disrupt things.

"There's no chance of that but a fit Charlie would be an asset to anybody."
