McGuire in Brann trial

Brann Bergen have handed a trial to Scottish defender Phil McGuire.Brann Bergen have handed Scottish defender Phil McGuire the chance to join compatriot Charlie Miller in Norway.
McGuire was released by Aberdeen at the end of last season and has been invited for a trial with Brann.
The stopper is eager to explore the possibility of a deal with Brann as he spends a week in Bergen.
"My contract with Aberdeen expired and now I am looking for new challenges," McGuire told Brann's official website.
"I played here three years ago when Brann played a friendly against Aberdeen.
"Of course I know about Robbie Winters, Charlie Miller and Cato Guntveit."
Miller (pictured), meanwhile, is keen to secure a new contract having impressed since joining Brann from Dundee United last summer.
His present deal expires later this year and he is due for discussions over an extension with the Brann board.
"The starting point is that I want to stay at Brann," Miller told VG.
"Look at the fans, they are fantastic. We have a good side and it is working well for me.
"Why should I leave? I will know more about the offer Brann have tabled tomorrow."
Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with the midfielder but the former Scotland international dismissed the interest.
He added: "You probably know more about the transfer rumours than me. I don't think about them."
