Rudolf Skacel has admitted that Hearts are in the middle of a crisis.Rudolf Skacel has admitted that Hearts are in the middle of a crisis, but refused to lay the blame solely on the change of managers at Tynecastle.
The Edinburgh club's latest setback, a 1-0 defeat at Rangers, means that they have won only one of their last five games, a run that coincides with Graham Rix's spell in charge.
And Czech Republic star Skacel, who has scored 13 goals this season, is baffled by the sudden change in fortunes.
"We haven't been successful in the last five games," he said.
"We don't know why we are not playing the attractive football we were at the start of the season. It can't just be the change of managers. We are also missing the ideas, combination play and luck that we need.
"We are all worried about our situation. We are in a crisis.
"We play average Falkirk on Boxing Day and Celtic the week after, and we need to beat them to stay in touch."
Skacel also claimed that Hearts deserved a point from the clash against Rangers on Saturday.
"It was a tough match. They are picking up and will try to defend their league title," he conceded.
"They only let us have two or three half chances, but we didn't let them have many opportunities either.
"They scored from a set piece and I would say that the referee helped them at that moment."
