Ghana international Laryea Kingston is hoping to finalise a move to Hearts.
Ghana international Laryea Kingston is hoping to finalise a move to Hearts in the transfer window.
The midfielder is available on a free transfer after recently leaving Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.
He claims he is in talks with Hearts and is optimistic about agreeing a contract to play for the SPL club.
"I can't say much at the moment, but I'm in Edinburgh and I am hopeful we can get something sorted out," said Kingston.
If a deal is agreed, Hearts would be signing a tough-tackling midfielder, who missed Ghana's World Cup campaign due to suspension.
Meanwhile, Hearts full-back Robbie Neilson has confirmed he is undergoing an operation to cure a knee complaint.
Neilson told The Sun: "Hopefully the problem is now sorted and, although I don't know how long I'll be out, I know it will be a few weeks.
"However, it was the sensible thing to do. The injury was only going to get worse, so there was no point carrying on with it."
