Hibs boss John Collins says he is interested in signing Norwegian striker Daniel Braaten.
Hibs boss John Collins has confirmed he is interested in signing Norwegian international striker Daniel Braaten.
Reports in Norway have linked the Easter Road side with a move for the big Rosenborg front man, who is out of contract in January.
Collins says he is 'very interested' in Braaten, who has also attracted interest from Bolton, and has had the 25-year-old hit-man watched.
"He's a player I like. I'm very interested in him but I am sure there will be some very big clubs also watching him and I'd imagine he'll be out of our radar in terms of wages," Collins told the Scotsman.
But Collins has rubbished claims he is about to make a bid for Kilmarnock's Steven Naismith.
Rangers have pulled out of a move to sign the striker, but Collins stressed he would not be making a move for the unsettled Rugby Park man.
Meanwhile, Alan O'Brien has been ruled out of Wednesday's friendly with Bolton with an ankle injury.
New signing Thierry Gatheussi and Steve Whittaker (hamstring) are also unlikely to figure against the Premier League side.
