Player just training with Killie to maintain fitness
Kilmarnock boss Kenny Shiels insists he has no plans to offer a contract to former Hibernian striker Derek Riordan.
Riordan left St Johnstone in May following a short stint with the club and has was recently training with SPL new boys Ross County.
But after failing to strike a deal with the Staggies, Riordan has joined up with the Ayrshire side.
Riordan previously trained with Killie in January before opting to sign a short-term contract with Saints, but Shiels has moved to quash speculation over any deal with the player.
"He's an out-of-contract player who we are facilitating, that's all," the Killie boss said.
"We have done it with Mark Kerr and loads of players who want to keep their fitness up until they get fixed up."
