Motherwell dumped holders Livingston out of the CIS Cup with a thumping 5-0 win.Motherwell dumped holders Livingston out of the CIS Insurance Cup with a thumping 5-0 win at Almondvale.
The visitors were handed an early lead with Emmauel Dorado putting through his own net after just three minutes.
Irish striker Richie Foran added a second on 38 minutes and Phil O'Donnell grabbed a third after 57 minutes
Things got worse for the unlucky Dorado on the hour when he was sent off for a professional foul and from the resulting penalty Foran grabbed his second to put Motherwell 4-0 up.
Kenny Wright completed the rout with the fifth in the dying seconds to send Terry Butcher's men into the last four.
Dundee United booked their place in the semi-final as they came from behind to beat Hibernian 2-1 at Tannadice after extra time.
Derek Riordan fired Hibs in front on 31 minutes, but Jim McIntyre sent the game into extra time with an equaliser three minutes from time.
McIntyre grabbed the winner for United 17 minutes into extra time to seal their passage into the last four and ease the pressure on Ian McCall.
