The 22-year-old has earned rave reviews for the Edinburgh outfit and has attracted interest from Celtic.

The capital club are aware of the interest in their player and placed him on the transfer list recently, a move which appears to signal their intent to cash in on a striker who has just over a year to run on his present contract.

Riordan is upset Hibs have placed him on the transfer list, as he says he is fully committed to the club.

"I don't want to be on the transfer list," Riordan told the Sunday Mail. "I didn't ask to be there, that's down to Hibs.

"I want to stay at the club. I understand what it's all about - they put me there to try to cash in on me.

"But I'm happy at Hibs. I'm a fan, I enjoy it, especially with the team and manager we've got just now."
