PSV have joined the queue of clubs hoping to sign Hibernian striker Derek Riordan.
PSV Eindhoven have joined the queue of clubs hoping to sign Hibernian striker Derek Riordan.
The Scotland international is out of contract in October and looks likely to leave Easter Road, probably in the summer.
Old Firm giants Rangers are keen on the 23-year-old and are reportedly ready to open negotiations to pay a fee for Riordan to land the forward in time for next season.
German side Kaiserslautern have also expressed an interest, although their bid is likely to hinge on the club retaining their Bundesliga status.
But reports now claim that PSV have taken an interest in Riordan, after watching the 20-goal hot shot in the recent Edinburgh derby.
The Dutch champions were purportedly represented at the game to watch Hearts ace Rudi Skacel, but were more impressed by the display of Riordan, who scored the opening goal.
PSV are now ready to make an offer to bring the hit-man to De Eredivisie, although they are rumoured to be unwilling to stump up a fee.
That would mean Riordan would have to wait until the autumn to leave Hibernian, if he decides to accept any PSV offer.
