Robins defender pleased with comeback display

Bristol City defender Liam Fontaine has expressed his delight after being restored to the side following a knee injury. With captain Louis Carey suspended and Lewin Nyatanga nursing an ankle problem, Fontaine had to make do with just two days of training before making his return against Leeds. Despite the 3-0 loss at Ashton Gate, manager Derek McInnes felt that his stand-in skipper "cruised" his return and Fontaine was equally as pleased. "It was nice to be back out there on Saturday even though I hadn't trained much," he told the club's official website. "My first training session was the Thursday before being thrown straight in, but I don't feel I let myself down. "It's great to be back. It was hard to play for about 35 minutes playing with just nine men, but it will only aid my fitness in the long run."
