MK Dons defender David McCracken believes the strikers deserve credit for their role in the team's recent run of good form.
The Dons have picked up four successive clean sheets and head for a tough game on the South Coast against in-form Southampton on Saturday.
"We will get the plaudits for it, but it's as a team. It starts from the front," said McCracken.
"If the strikers are working hard and stopping the other team playing it helps us at the back."
He added: "It's a false position [Southampton] are in. They started the season with a points deduction. They're on a great run as well, so it should be a good game."
