David McCracken has left Brentford after the central defender's contract was terminated by mutual consent.

The 29-year-old joined the Bees from MK Dons last summer following previous spells at Dundee United and Wycombe. McCracken started just two matches last season - on the opening day of the season against Carlisle and in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Leyton Orient. He made one further substitute appearance at Exeter before joining Bristol Rovers on loan for the second half of the season. He made 10 appearances for the Pirates as they were relegated from League One.
