Dundee United have completed the signing of winger Tope Obadeyi on an initial one-year deal.

The 26-year-old, who was capped by England at U19 and U20 level, has moved to Tannadice after two years with Kilmarnock.

The former Bolton and Bury player becomes United boss Ray McKinnon's fourth major signing as he prepares for life in the Championship.

Obadeyi told United's official website: "I cannot wait to get started. United are a massive club and they have great fanbase. It was an easy decision to come here. The aim is to be pushing for promotion.

"This move is about playing football. I want a season of games behind me and at a club this size, it's a great opportunity. I came up to see St Andrews and the manager told me of his plans and after that I was convinced I wanted to join United."

McKinnon added: "I am delighted to get Tope. He's a strong, powerful and quick player. He scored 10 goals in the Premiership last year and he will bring lots to our team. We will need big physical players and he fits the bill."
