The agent of Jason Scotland has blasted the decision made by the Home Office. The agent of Jason Scotland has blasted the decision made by the Home Office with regards to his client's stay in Britain.
Whilst Scotland's application to stay in the SPL with Dundee United was turned down, he has been granted permission to sign for second tier outfit St Johnstone.
The Trinidad and Tobago striker has penned a two-year deal with St Johnstone - in a decision that has dumbfounded his agent, Mark Perry.
''St Johnstone are the ones that have benefited most from this,'' Perry told the Daily Record.
''United chairman Eddie Thompson is quite rightly gutted because he invested in developing Jason, discovered him and brought him here.
''St Johnstone have got a quality player for nothing. I was flabbergasted when the application got through.
''It's ridiculous and wrong. I was 100 percent convinced Jason would get a permit with United, having dealt with 16 successful applications in the past.''
Whilst Perry has been lamenting the Home Office's decision, Scotland is just relieved that he has been given the opportunity to remain in Britain.
''I am so happy to get a chance to continue playing in Britain,'' said Scotland.
