Inverness Caledonian Thistle have turned down a transfer request from Darren Dods.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle have turned down a transfer request from defender Darren Dods.
The former Hibernian and St Johnstone man has been a transfer target of former Caley Thistle boss Craig Brewster and Scottish Premier League rivals Dundee United.
Despite making the request to leave the Highlands outfit, Caley Thistle have promptly rejected Dods's request.
"We have had a fax from Darren's agent, which has been leaked to the media, saying that Darren wants a move," said Caley Thistle director of football Graeme Bennett.
"The request is turned down and we expect the player to honour his contract with the club this season."
It remains to be seen if the 31-year-old will make a move, having so far not taken up the offer to sign an extended contract with Charlie Christie's side.
One player that looks set for a switch to Tannadice Park is Caley Thistle midfielder David Proctor.
The 22-year-old looks set to continue his career on Tayside, as both clubs are close to agreeing a fee for the former Hibernian man.
"David is not in manager Charlie Christie's plans and United and ourselves are now pretty close on a fee," added Bennett.
"David is a fine lad who deserves his chance and all going well, he could be talking directly to United sometime today (Tuesday)."
