The first Dundee derby of the season kicks off the latest batch of SPFL matches to be shown live on Sky Sports.

The Tannadice showdown on Tuesday, August 11 is followed by Rangers' home game against Scottish Championship rivals Hibernian at Ibrox on Saturday, August 23.

Premiership champions Celtic, who begin Sky's live coverage of the new campaign when unfurling their championship flag at home to Ross County on August 1, are next up against last season's runners-up Aberdeen at Pittodrie on September 12.

And Derek McInnes' Dons figure in the following live game when travelling to Tynecastle to take on newly-promoted Hearts eight days later.

Commenting on the early matches, Sky Sports Head of Football Gary Hughes said: "The opening weekend is a huge moment and we're looking forward to the big kick off in Scotland on Sky Sports.

"With the reigning champions Celtic first up against Ross County and then last season's runners up Aberdeen travelling to Dundee United the following day it will be a fantastic start.

"The start of the season is always filled with optimism for all teams, and we can't wait for another exciting season of Scottish football on Sky Sports."
