Inverness CT boss Richie Foran has completed the signings of Billy King and Kevin McNaughton.

Hearts midfielder King has one-year remaining on his Tynecastle contract, and is not in manager Robbie Neilson's plans.

Caley Thistle have taken the 22-year-old on a season-long loan as new Thistle boss Foran strengthens ahead of the new campaign.

King, who scored 14 goals in 95 appearances for Hearts, spent the second part of last season on loan with Scottish Championship winners Rangers, where he also won a Petrofac Training Cup medal.

Former Aberdeen defender McNaughton has featured for Inverness as a trialist in pre-season and impressed Foran enough to earn a one-year contract.

The 33-year-old, who won the English Championship and played in an FA Cup final with Cardiff, was released by Wigan at the end of the season following their promotion from League One.

A statement from Inverness CT on social media read: "Delighted to confirm that Billy King has joined ICTFC on a one-year loan. Equally delighted to confirm that Kevin McNaughton has signed a one-year deal."

And Caley Thistle captain Gary Warren reckons McNaughton will be a great addition to the squad.

"He's got experience all over the country at the highest level," Warren said in the Press & Journal.

"He's comfortable on the ball and his experience will be invaluable, especially for the young players.

"The atmosphere overall has been brilliant from day one. The manager has our respect and knows the players and club inside out. It's one big gang and team that will work hard and look after each other.

"That's what we've seen so far in training and we need to keep that for the rest of the pre-season schedule into the start of the season."

Inverness have already signed striker Scott Boden from Newport and Irish midfielder Jake Mulraney this summer.
