Marius Niculae has been cleared to play for Inverness Caledonian Thistle after winning his work permit appeal.
The international striker had been refused a permit for not playing in 75 per cent of Romania's games over the last two years.
But the 26-year-old was cleared to play after a one-hour hearing saying he had come to Scotland to help win back his international place after finding himself out of favour at Bundesliga side Mainz.
The striker, capped 28 times by Romania, also thanked the more than 1,700 Caley supporters who backed his case in an online petition.
"It was very nerve-wracking but I'm thrilled to get the green light," said the former Sporting Lisbon hit-man.
"I can now concentrate on doing my best for the club.
"I'm very grateful to all the supporters who have backed me. I hope to repay them with goals for Caley Thistle."
Niculae is now in line for his SPL debut for Charlie Christie's side at Motherwell on Saturday.
