Dunfermline have handed a trial to former Barnsley striker Georgi Hristov.Dunfermline have handed a trial to former Barnsley striker Georgi Hristov.
The Macedonian international is set to spend the next few days at East End Park in a bid to secure a move to The SPL outfit.
Hristov is looking for a new club after being granted a free transfer by FC Zwolle.
Pars boss Davie Hay will cast his eye over Hristov in training before deciding whether or not to pursue his interest.
"We're having a look at Georgi this week and we'll see how things go," said Hay.
"He picked up a knee injury recently and he hasn't played for a while but that's one of the reasons why we've set up the trial.
"But he's been capped by his country something like 48 times and he comes highly recommended.
"He says his injury is okay now and that his fitness is okay but we'll have a look at him for a few days and make a decision after that."
