Dunfermline booked a clash against Celtic after a 3-0 win over East Fife.Dunfermline booked their place in the fourth round of the Tennent's Scottish Cup at the second time of asking following a 3-1 triumph over East Fife.
The Pars were held to a goalless draw at New Bayview Stadium, but made no mistake at home to set-up a tie against Celtic.
The SPL side wasted little time moving in front with Andy Tod (pictured) breaking the deadlock with just 36 seconds of the match played.
Barry Nicholson's cross was headed by Noel Hunt into the path of Tod who made no mistake beating Scott Morrison with a looping header.
The visitors were almost level shortly after the interval when Derek Stillie blocked Sean Paliczka, but that was as close as East Fife came to equalising.
Hunt turned from provider into goal scorer when he latched onto Barry Nicholson's right wing cross to volley home superbly.
Two soon became three when Gary Dempsey netted from the edge of the area to finally break the visitors' resistance.
East Fife did give their travelling support something to cheer when Leslie Byle netted in injury-time, but it proved nothing more than a consolation.
