Simon Donnelly and Andy Tod have reached an accord to stay at Dunfermline.Simon Donnelly and Andy Tod have reached an accord to stay at Dunfermline Athletic.
The duo have both agreed new one-year contracts with The Pars, who just managed to retain their SPL status.
Donnelly has had a clause activated in his contract, which rewarded him with an extension if he played a certain number of games following his move from St Johnstone last summer.
Tod was the club's top scorer after being used as a makeshift striker and Pars boss Jim Leishman feels both players merit the new deals.
"Simon had something in his contract which said he got a new deal if he played so many games for us," said Leishman. "He deserves another year, he's done well.
"Andy has also agreed another year. He's been a very important player for us so we're happy for him."
But Leishman has decided to release Georgi Hristov and Jesper Christiansen, with the pair only having been at East End Park since January.
Macedonian striker Hristov made just eight appearances for The Pars, while Christiansen has not impressed sufficiently for the club since he arrived after leaving Kidderminster Harriers.
