Dunfermline have offered trialist Dorus De Vries a contract at the club.
SPL side Dunfermline have offered trialist Dorus De Vries a contract at the club.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper was released by ADO Den Haag at the end of last season, despite being a regular fixture for the Dutch outfit.
Pars manager Jim Leishman decided to bring De Vries in for a trial and he has impressed during training.
The former Dutch Under-21 international was involved as Dunfermline defeated Rizespor in a pre-season friendly on Monday and has subsequently been offered a permanent deal with the club.
De Vries is thought to be keen to secure a move to East End Park with a deal likely to go through in the near future.
"Some friends of mine have played for Dunfermline already," he told the Scottish Sun.
"Marco Ruitenbeek and Jack de Gier were both at Dunfermline and told me about the great experiences they had there."
