Midfielder agrees loan deal

Monaco have signed Juventus midfielder Sergio Almiron on loan for the rest of the season. The Argentine has failed to make an impression since arriving from Empoli last summer and he has made only three appearances for Juventus. With unsettled Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko expected to complete a move to Juventus before the end of the transfer window, Almiron is expected to face an increasingly difficult task in securing a first-team place. Monaco coach Ricardo has previously admitted an interest in the 27-year-old and a deal has now been agreed to please both parties. Almiron may secure a permanent move to France at the end of the season should he decide not to return to Juventus.
