Czech striker agrees French switch
Ligue 1 outfit Sochaux have completed the signing of Vaclav Sverkos from Banik Ostrava.
The 25-year-old, who has also played for Borussia Moenchengladbach and Austria Vienna, agreed the switch to France on Friday.
Sverkos is a Czech Republic international and was part of his country's squad at Euro 2008.
He scored the first goal of that tournament when he found the target in a 1-0 win against co-hosts Switzerland.
Sverkos will be forced to bide his time as he waits to make his Sochaux debut, as a knee injury will rule him out of a French Cup tie with Rennes on Saturday.
