Marseille striker Mamadou Niang is targeting a return to training within weeks from his foot injury.
The striker, who has netted 12 times in 22 Ligue 1 and UEFA Champions League games this term, is feeling hopeful after a positive scan.
He believes he could return to training in three weeks and is desperate to get back to his best.
The Senegal international told skysports.com: "I had a scan yesterday on the metatarsal and it is looking good.
"I will get back to training as soon as possible - I think it will be operational in the next three weeks minimum, I need to really push."
The striker's prowess in front of goal has led to speculation he could move to England from the club he joined back in 2005 in a £4.5million switch from Strasbourg.
But Niang said: "My future is here at the moment - I love Marseille, the fans have been great to me, so for me it is to get back to my best and play.
"As regards the speculation linking me to the Premier League, I don't know a thing about it."
