Speedy striker eyes a move to Premier League
Lyon striker Sydney Govou has alerted Premier League clubs after admitting he could leave the French Champions this summer.
The 29-year-old's contract with the club runs out in 2010 and Lyon could decide to cash in this summer to avoid missing out on a fee next year.
The Frenchman has spent 12 years at Lyon and has admitted that the time may finally be right to move on.
"I have a one year contract left with Lyon and my time is up. I will not renew my contract, my decision has been taken," Govou told newspaper Dauphine Libere.
"The only thing I know is I won't sign again at Lyon. 12 years here, among which 10 years with the professional group - that is long. The desire to discover a new club is important."
Lyon could be willing to do business for around £3million, which may interest Portsmouth, who have been linked with the striker in the past.
