Only top flight new boys Arles-Avignon are keeping Nancy off the foot of the table at present, although they are still well placed to pull clear of trouble.
They are one of five clubs currently locked on 14 points, with just five points separating them from Marseille in sixth.
All is by no means lost this season, but it is imperative that results improve if they are to start climbing the table.
Gregorini believes Nancy are capable of edging towards safety, especially as they have endured a wretched run of bad fortune.
They went down 2-1 to Bordeaux on Saturday as a result of a disputed winner and feel Marseille's Loic Remy should have been pulled up for a foul when he notched the only goal of the game in a fixture at Stade Velodrome on 16th October.
Injustice
On Jaroslav Plasil's controversial winner at the weekend, which was adjudged to have crossed the line when replays showed it did not, Gregorini told
L'Equipe: "I could only see it on a replay, it was too quick.
"I thought his header hit the post and bounced back on to me. I got the ball under my body and knew it never went in the net.
"But when I saw the referee blowing, I realised he had given the goal.
"One month ago, Remy kicked my face before scoring. The referee was the only one who didn't see that. I still have a broken tooth and slipped septum.
"Considering these events, we have not had much luck. We are just in a bad situation.
"We just have to be strong and try to turn this injustice into a positive."
