French side say Wolfsburg don't want to discuss fee for midfielder

Evian have admitted it will be difficult to sign Thomas Kahlenberg on a permanent basis due to Wolfsburg's reluctance to discuss a fee. Denmark international Kahlenberg spent the second half of last season on loan at Evian and he had been expected to join the French club permanently. However, Evian director Pascal Dupraz has conceded that his club are finding it difficult to press ahead with their interest in the midfielder. "Thomas belongs to Wolfsburg and, at the moment, it appears difficult to agree a deal," Dupraz told Sporten.dk. "Wolfsburg do not want to negotiate a transfer fee." Kahlenberg has also been linked with a move to Swansea City following compatriot Michael Laudrup's appointment as manager, while a switch to St Etienne had also reportedly fallen through.
