Laurent Blanc's side have struggled so far this season, drawing both their opening matches with a 1-1 draw at Montpellier on the opening day followed by last weekend's draw against Ajaccio at the Parc des Princes, despite managing 38 shots on goal.
PSG cannot afford to lose any more ground on their rivals and goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu, who was a spectator for most of last week's game, said: "We keep hitting the bar, the post. We have two points, that is the reality.
"We need to bounce back. We have no reason to reproach ourselves, but we have started the season badly, just like every year."
There is no need for Paris to panic. They drew their first three matches last season and then went on to win the title by 12 points.
A sell-out crowd of 37,000 will watch the first meeting of the clubs since February 2009, when Ludovic Giuly scored twice in a 4-1 PSG win.
It is set to be a tough season for Nantes, who beat Bastia 2-0 at home on the opening day but have been accused of fielding an ineligible player in substitute Abdoulaye Toure and so risk forfeiting the points won in that game.
Nantes coach Mikel Der Zakarian, however, is concentrating on Paris.
He told his club website: "We must get the ball as high as possible up the pitch.
When great teams do not have the ball they defend and then they attack their opponents.
"We must be inspired with no mistakes. If we make mistakes Paris have huge potential to punish us."
Nantes welcome back Jordan Veretout after suspension while PSG were hoping Blaise Matuidi would be fit after suffering a head injury against Ajaccio.
