The Principality club were too much for their lowly opponents as a hat-trick by Shabani Nonda (pictured), two goals by Dado Prso and a single strike from Jerome Rothen gave the home side a comfortable win.
Monaco will now play in the group stages of the Champions League next season with their second place finish.
Lyon successfully defended their French league title by a single point from Monaco but had little to celebrate on Saturday evening as two goals each from Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda gave visiting Guingamp a 4-1 victory at the Stade de Gerland, Sidney Govou scored the lone reply for the home side.
Marseille will play in the preliminary rounds of the Champions League next season after falling to a 1-0 defeat at Nantes.
With six minutes remaining, Gregory Pujol's shot deflected off Olivier Quint to give Les Canaries all three points, as both sides had a man sent off before the end.
Marseille's Pascal Johansen went off for two yellow card offences while Nantes' Pascal Delhommeau was sent off for lashing out in retaliation on Daniel van Buyten.
At the other end of the table, Le Havre were relegated despite winning 2-1 over Nice.
Anthony Le Tallec and Florent Sinama-Pongolle scored for Le Havre with Kaba Diawara replying for visiting Nice but it was not enough in the end, as Rennes won and Ajaccio earned a draw.
Rennes got two goals - one a penalty - from Olivier Monterubbio and a second half strike from Federic Piquionne to defeat Montepellier 3-1 and secure their place in the top-flight. Lamine Diatta scored an own-goal for the visitors.
Ajaccio made sure that two Corsican clubs remain in the French top-flight after a 0-0 draw with Strasbourg.

Auxerre got a brace from Olivier Kapo to defeat Paris Saint Germain 2-0, as the French capital club disappointingly finished in the bottom half of the table.
