The full back had a successful six-month loan spell at Valencia last season but the Che reluctantly decided against signing the promising star due to their financial problems.
Paul Le Guen is a long-time admirer of the 23-year-old and sees the defender as a valuable addition to his Stade de Gerland squad, as they prepare to embark on a Champions League campaign.
Lyon beat off late competition in the form of Le Championnat rivals Marseille for Reveillere's signature and have a five-year deal on the table for the player to sign upon successfully completing a medical on Monday, after striking a é¼5.5 million deal with Rennes.
In other news, rumours circulating in France suggest unhappy goalkeeper Gregory Coupet could be involved in a swap deal with Bordeaux shot-stopper Ulrich Rame.
Coupet had a serious bust up with Lyon officials last term after the club refused to give him a contract extension and has declared his intention to quit the club.
Rame's name is not the only in the frame, as Marseille's Vedran Runje and Nantes' Mickael Landreau have also been mentioned.
