Diouf is a powerful player agent in France, with several of the most high profile stars on his books.
However, he is set to take up his new role at Marseille in June, and Aulas believes his bias is having a major effect.
"Last season we were interested in Drogba even before he was the best forward in Le Championnat," said Aulas.
"Now he has become a great player but we cannot sign him because Pape Diouf is both his agent and l'OM's sports director.
"The operation is almost impossible. Ask Diouf if we didn't make a proposition recently that would have doubled his wages.
"He will struggle to reply because it is the truth.
"Ask Diouf if he met with Bernard Lacombe after the Ivory Coast - Guinea match.
"The whole situation is untenable. Even if he plays things straight down the line he will hit trouble at some point.
"Pape can keep saying that he does not start his new job until June, but the fact is that negotiations go on through May and Diouf is arranging Marseille's new signings.
"Diouf is the most powerful agent in France. Pierre-Alain Frau is one of his players and we would look to bid for him if Sidney Govou leaves.
"But because Marseille want him, Pape will do his best to attain him for his new club. So what can we do?"
Diouf's influence may well see another long term Marseille target arrive - with Nantes defender Sylvain Armand in talks over a move.
