After falling behind in the race for the championship this season, Marseille are looking to boost their squad with several new faces in the close-season.
Diouf has spoken of Marseille's immediate transfer targets and stated that Daniel van Buyten - currently on loan at Manchester City - could be back at Stade Velodrome next season.
''There are several options about Daniel van Buyten,'' Diouf told L'Equipe. ''He could come back and be a contender for a place in the centre of our defence.
''But there are also offers from great European clubs. We have not taken any decisions about him yet.''
Manchester City defender David Sommeil is to return to England, whilst Fulham striker Steve Marlet is wanted on a similar loan deal for next season.
''David Sommeil will go back to Manchester City,'' continued Diouf. ''About Steve Marlet, we are in talks with Fulham about a second loan season.''
Paris Saint Germain captain Frederic Dehu has reportedly agreed a two-year deal with Marseille - in what appears to be the first addition to the ranks.
''Nantes asked for £8 million for Mario Yepes, which is a little too high for us,'' added Diouf. ''Christophe Bouchet (Marseille's chairman) will meet Nantes' chairman in a few days.
''But we are also following other central defenders like Lille's Eric Abidal and Lyon's Patrick Muller.
''Juan Pablo Sorin is a target for the left side but Argentina play 13 World Cup qualifying matches next season, so that will need considering.''
Diouf also revealed that the club are looking for a forward to play alongside this season's sensation Didier Drogba.
''Lens' Daniel Moreira and Montpellier's Habib Bamogo are interesting players,'' he said.
''About Camel Meriem, our desire is that he'll stay at Marseille. We are looking for an agreement with Bordeaux.
''The option is to buy at é¼7 million but that is too high. We will negotiate.''
