Lyon captain Claudio Cacapa is raging at Strasbourg's Sidi Yaya Keita.
Lyon captain Claudio Cacapa has suffered a serious knee injury, but it is not as bad as was first feared.
The defender was the victim of a dreadful tackle by Sidi Yaya Keita during the Ligue 1 clash with Strasbourg and had further medical tests on Monday.
Cacapa has not torn his knee ligaments, although the 28-year-old will still be out for anything between six and ten weeks.
"I really feared the major knee ligament was snapped," said Cacapa.
"It is not the case so I won't complain.
"My right knee has not got swollen too much. Everything can be settled with rehabilitation.
"The player didn't play the ball.
"To me, he is not a football player because a footballer can't do that.
"Then he apologised but it was too late.
"However, as I am a believer and it is my character, I forgive him.
"But I cannot understand his actions."
Keita was red-carded for the offence which was an appallingly high challenge on the Lyon star.
