Claudio Cacapa has returned for Lyon ahead of their Champions League tie.Lyon could welcome back captain Claudio Cacapa to the starting line up for their UEFA Champions League tie with Werder Bremen.
The stopper has been out of action since October after a reckless tackle by Strasbourg's Sidi Keita damaged his knee ligaments.
However the Brazilian star is now back to fitness after making his return as a substitute against Monaco on Friday, and is hoping to secure a starting berth for the trip to the reigning Bundesliga champions.
"On Sunday I still had a little pain, but I hope it will be better now. Anyway I am keen to play at Bremen if the coach wants me to play," said Cacapa.
Lyon boss Paul Le Guen does have injury troubles ahead of the game despite this piece of good news.
Talented young striker Bryan Bergougnoux picked up an ankle strain in the Monaco game and will undergo an MRI scan before realising the full extent of his injury.
Full back Anthony Reveillere is also ruled out with tendonitis, and will have to wear a splint for two weeks on his ankle to combat the problem.
