Ligue 1 round-up

Bordeaux left it late to earn a 1-1 draw with struggling Sochaux on Saturday.

Bordeaux needed a very late strike from substitute Alejandro Alonso to earn a 1-1 draw with struggling Sochaux.

Jeremy Menez gave Sochaux the lead on the half hour mark and it looked to be enough for the win before Argentine Alonso claimed a dramatic draw for Les Girondins.

The result takes Bordeaux level on points with second place Paris Saint Germain, who face a difficult trip to Marseille on Sunday.

Auxerre are fourth after a 3-0 win over Troyes at Stade Abbe-Deschamps.

Goals from Yann Lachuer (28), Peguy Luyindula (80) and Benjamin Mwaruwari (86) gave Jacques Santini's side all three points.

St Etienne came from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw in the early kick-off at Nantes.

Claudiu Keseru gave Les Canaris the lead three minutes in but a Nicolas Savinaud owngoal earned an away point for Les Verts.

Three second half goals from David Gigliotti (62), Vassilis Zikos (65) and Camel Meriem (72) gave Monaco an easy 3-0 home win over bottom club Metz.

Nancy defeated Toulouse 2-0 after Pape Diakhate (26) found the scoresheet before Elie Kroupi got a second from the penalty spot four minutes after the break.

Le Mans and Lille had to settle for a 1-1 draw, with Frederic Thomas' seventh minute penalty cancelled out by Lille's Matt Moussilou two minutes later.

Lens and Nice also had to settle for a 2-2 draw at Stade Felix-Bollaert.

Sebastien Roudet gave Nice the lead on 29 minutes before Lens responded after the break through Alou Diarra (46) and Olivier Thomert (58).

Substitute Souleymane Camara earned the visitors a point with five minutes remaining.

Finally, a first half Jimmy Briand strike gave Rennes a 1-0 victory at struggling Strasbourg.
