Monaco's Sebastien Squillaci is reportedly on the verge of making a switch to Lyon.
Sebastien Squillaci is reportedly on the verge of making a switch to Lyon.
The French international has experienced a tough start to the season with Monaco, largely due to a number of injuries he has sustained.
It is understood that the 25-year-old is being lined up as a replacement for the injured Claudio Cacapa, although Monaco are not keen on the idea of him leaving.
Squillaci still has three years left to run on his contract and club officials are set to discuss his future over the next few days.
It has been suggested that any potential deal could see Lyon left back Jeremy Berthod heading to the Stade Louis II.
Monaco have been tracking the youngster for some time and are still eager to land him despite the recent addition of Manuel Dos Santos.
But Squillaci is not the only player that OL have identified as a defensive transfer target as they are still weighing up a move for highly-rated Belgian talent Vincent Kompany.
