Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has denied reports of Milan interest in his players.
Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has denied reports that have suggested Milan are to move for Cris and Mahamadou Diarra.
Speculation in France has been rife with talk of Milan mounting a double raid on their French counterparts, who they meet in a UEFA Champions League quarter final on Wednesday.
However, Aulas insists that after having a meeting with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, any fears have been allayed.
''I met Galliani at Fifa when the first rumours of Milan, Diarra and Cris appeared,'' said Aulas to L'Equipe.
''We had a long talk. He clearly denied it and I trust him and I believe there was no contact with the players.
''About the Cris rumour, it is an Italian agent that contacted the player without first asking the official agent of the player.''
Cris has also spoken of the speculation and whilst insisting he is content in Lyon, also acknowledges that football has a habit of surprising.
''I don't know if Milan are attracted by me,'' said Cris.
''I can just say someone came to see me against Bordeaux. Then I read the press but there is nothing concrete.
''My future? I hope it will be in France but it doesn't just depend on me.
''Football is strange, anything can happen. This Champions League match with Milan is very important for the club but also for me too.''
