Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas is confident Sylvain Wiltord and Francois Clerc will stay at the club.
The duo are considering their futures at Stade Gerland with their current contracts set to expire in the summer.
Wiltord has rejected the club's first offer of a new deal, but Aulas is ready to table a longer contract to persuade the former Arsenal man to stay with the French champions.
"We are discussing, but things are confidential because we are talking about the future of players," Aulas told AFP.
"I understand that Sylvain wants to sign a long-term contract.
"We are going to propose to him something like that, even if it doesn't cover all his expectations.
"I have quoted that to him, it is not a problem of money.
"That is a good thing that will permit us to find an agreement."
Aulas is expecting defender Clerc to make a decision on his future in the next 24 hours.
"Francois Clerc has received a proposal that is by far the best he could wish for in France and even in Europe," added Aulas.
"We have made big efforts to convince him.
"His team-mates want him to stay at Lyon and I hope this week will be decisive for him to take the good decision.
"I will phone him in a few hours to know his opinion."
