Lyon midfielder Alou Diarra has reportedly had a bust-up with coach Gerard Houllier.
Alou Diarra has been left out of the Lyon squad for their game against Valenciennes after a bust-up with coach Gerard Houllier, according to L'Equipe.
The French international is reported to have refused Houllier's orders to play for the club's reserves this weekend.
Since the start of the season the pair's relationship has been fragile, with Diarra twice complaining about not playing regularly.
Diarra has since picked up a serious thigh injury and is yet to get back to his best following his return to the first team.
Houllier is reportedly threatening to not play the former Lens midfielder again this season and could tell him to find a new club in the summer.
Meanwhile, Houllier has responded to striker Karim Benzema's request for a run in the side in the centre.
"I have read some players want to play as centre forward," Houllier said. "But I would like to play centre forward in that team too!"
Milan Baros is also wanting a chance in attack, but the former Aston Villa striker is being more careful with his words.
The Czech Republic international, who arrived at the Stade Gerland in January, said: "I am keen to play.
"It is quite logical that the players which got the club to the League Cup final and get good results are in the starting XI.
"But next season we will all start from the same point."
